The ‘Sea Senorita Margarita’ by Bellarine Distillery
Refreshingly bold and balanced, the ‘Sea Senorita Margarita’ Cocktail from The Bellarine Distillery is a must-try, especially for any Marg fans out there! Teamed with bright passionfruit & lime, the wonderfully savoury ‘The Old Dodger’ Gin adds a unique character & complexity to the cocktail. At 57% AVB, this Navy Strength Gin combines old world herbs such as Rosemary & Tarragon, with contemporary ingredients such Aussie botanical Salt Bush for a soft, salty flavour. With punchy fruit and robust herbaceous notes, the ‘Sea Senorita’ Cocktail is bound to impress.
‘Winemaker’s Sour’ by Patient Wolf Distilling Co.
Crafted in collaboration with Geelong-based Winemakers ‘6ft6’– the ‘Winemakers Sour’ Cocktail from Patient Wolf Distilling Co. celebrates the stunning ‘Pinot Noir Gin’ in all its ruby red glory. Released annually since 2021, this years vintage of ‘Pinot Noir Gin’ is a blend of Patient Wolf’s ‘Melbourne Dry Gin’ and 6ft6 Pinot Noir grapes, left to steep for over six weeks. After a light press, we are left with a gin that is bright in both colour and flavour, with silky tannins and juicy red fruit notes.
To complement rich layers of cherry, strawberry, plum and a hint of cacao, the ‘Winemakers Sour’ packs a punch with a simple mix of fresh lemon, sugar & foam.
‘Cherry Mule’ by Anther Distillery
Featuring Anther Distillery’s award-winning Cherry Gin and flagship ‘Australian Dry Gin’, the ‘Cherry Mule’ is perfect for those who favour spicy winter fruit flavours. An experimental style produced annually, Anther’s Cherry Gin gains its deep crimson colour and earthy dark fruit flavour from over 70,000 hand-pitted Tasmanian cherries, macerated in high-proof Anther Dry Gin. To complement the piney juniper, savoury spice & bright citrus notes featured in the Anther Dry and Anther Cherry Gin, the ‘Cherry Mule’ is balanced with Ginger Beer & fresh lime for a subtly sweet cocktail with a smooth, fruity finish.
‘Fig Yeah’ by Flowstate Brewers & Distillers
Designed to push the boundaries of what a gin can be, the delightfully experimental ‘Oaked & Smoked’ Gin by Flowstate Brewers & Distillers shines in the ‘Fig Yeah’ cocktail.
With notes of sticky vanilla, spicy citrus and woody campfire smoke, ‘Oaked & Smoked’ was created for Winter sipping and spectacular cocktails alike. Using Flowstate’s Craft Gin as a base, the ‘Oaked & Smoked’ distillate rests in heavily charred American oak for four months, while an infusion process of cold smoking ice with maple wood imparts a distinctly smoky element. To complement the sweeter flavours of the gin, a dash of Fig Aperitif lends fig jam, raisin & honey flavours to the ‘Fig Yeah’ cocktail, while lemon juice provides freshness and balance. An ideal Winter warmer for enjoying on chilly nights.
‘Stormy Skies’ by Great Ocean Road Gin
With its sweet mix of native ingredients, rich raspberry flavour & refreshing citrus finish – the ‘Stormy Skies’ cocktail from Great Ocean Road Gin is sure to be a favourite this Winter. At its heart is the Great Ocean Road Gin ‘Raspberry Gin Liqueur’ which combines their signature modern dry gin with macerated heritage breed raspberries, farmed in Bannockburn – just 20 minutes from Black Sheep.
Complementing the jammy, nostalgic flavours of the gin is Australian-made Marionette ‘Blue Curacao’ liqueur. Along with a hit of bittersweet orange citrus, this liqueur gives the ‘Stormy Skies’ its distinct deep blue hue, reminiscent of a Winter storm rolling in over the Great Southern Ocean. A little lemon & a touch of sugar is all that is needed to craft the perfect cool weather sip.
