To begin, you’ll enjoy Starward’s ‘TWO-FOLD’ – a Double Grain Whisky with an ABV of 40%. Both malted barley & Australian wheat distillates are matured in lightly charred or steamed ex red wine barrels to create the ‘Two-Fold’ blend. You’ll taste spiced vanilla, tropical fruits and cereal characteristics, rounded with red apples and berries.
Uniquely Australian, Starward ‘NOVA’ Single Malt is next. Crafted exclusively with local Victorian wine barrels, expect aromas of raisins, bananas & toffee. The palate is filled with red berries, hints of cinnamon and a variety of savoury & spice driven notes.
Thirdly is Starward’s flasgship whisky – ‘SOLERA’. A Single Malt, it balances old word traditions with new world innovation. Malted Australian barley is aged in re-coopered, shaved & charred Apera barrels to develop bright fruit aromas, toasty caramel, brulee & fig flavours, leading to a juicy, dry spice finish.
From here, try Starward ‘FORTIS’. A bold, Single Malt whisky which celebrates local ingredients and a depth of flavour, derived from maturation in 100% American Oak red wine barrels. Upon sipping, vanilla & toasty oak give way to chocolate ganache, cinnamon, quince & raisin with a lingering spice finish.
And to complete your Whisky experience, the Starward ‘(NEW) OLD FASHIONED’ Whisky Cocktail is the final sip on the paddle. A modern take on a classic whisky cocktail, it blends Starward single malt whisky, zesty orange bitters & native wattle seed syrup for balanced sweetness and spice.
